Trading in AOTR
Trading values change every balance patch. Treat Reddit threads, value spreadsheets, and Discord price-check channels as a starting point, not a guarantee. Always confirm the exact item, rarity, and roll before you commit.
What prestige changes
Prestige 1
At Prestige 1 you unlock a wider trade pool and the Thunder Spear questline for many accounts.
Prestige 2
Prestige 2 opens higher-tier trades. Expect 2× family and rare memories to be priced in spins, gems, and premium keys—not just one stack of commons.
Prestige 3
At Prestige 3 the rarest family rolls and 5-star memories see the biggest swings. Use a middleman in large trades when the community still recommends it.
Staying safe
- Screenshot the trade window before and after, including item names in chat.
- Never hand over items in multiple steps unless you know and trust the counterparty or your server’s trade rules allow scam reports.
- Patch names like “Update 4” can nerf a weapon line overnight. Re-check the Values page the same day you close a big deal.
Numbers live on the values page as trends, not laws. If you are still new, the beginner guide explains the economy in plain terms before you list a 5-star item.
Trading FAQ
-
Is a middleman always required?
Not for small deals, but for multi-step trades or 2× family transfers, a trusted server-side middleman is still the norm in many communities—ask where you play.

What if I get scammed?
Report on the server that hosted the deal, keep screenshots, and do not name-call in public—follow that server’s process. Next time, price-check on the day of the trade.
